Calley Nye's Blog: McCain Tried To Prevent Current Economic Meltdown in 2005, and Obama Is An Idiot

as far as facts would go - the majority of Obama's donation from 'the macs' were from individual employees who support his campaign - in other related reporting it has been revealed that McCain has in fact received more donations from senior execs at both the macs then Obama did

ummm and Obama wasnt in the Senate when that bill you mentioned was up for the vote - else they would have stated that Obama voted against the bill, which clearly he didnt because he wasnt there - so in fact, McCain didnt fight for the bill hard enough and/or there was another problem with the bill that got it killed like perhaps extra funding for the bridge to nowhere....

Employees count for anyone who gets a paycheck from Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, so yes, Directors are not included on the list because they don't get a paycheck, and they may sit on multiple boards and hold varying positions in other companies.

And Obama was in the Senate on January 26th, 2006 - he was elected in November 2004. Like I said in the post, the bill didn't make it to a vote because Chris Dodd (the macs' crony and highest supported senator) and the Banking Committee killed it before it could. I don't know the circumstances surrounding it all, because there is not much information about the bill, so that's all I know.

And neither candidate is talking about this bill, for reasons I do not know. McCain isn't using it, and Obama is accusing him of only now caring about reform, which is obviously not true.

The point of the second part of the post was not to diss Obama for his beliefs regarding this subject, but to point out a very obvious error in his statement about McCain.
